AI API pricing in INR, without a foreign card
Velona is an INR-native AI gateway built for Indian developers and students. Every one of the 300+ models, including GPT, Claude, Gemini, Llama, DeepSeek, Qwen, Mistral and more, is billed in rupees, and you top up your prepaid wallet with UPI, RuPay, domestic debit or credit cards, or net banking, starting at just ₹10. There is no international credit card requirement, no USD invoicing, and no surprise forex markup landing on your bank statement weeks later.
Pricing is fully pay-as-you-go. There is no subscription, no monthly minimum, and no per-seat fee. You are charged per token for exactly the calls you make, and every call is itemised in your usage dashboard so you can see where each rupee went. The price you see on a model's page is the price your wallet is debited. The live USD→INR conversion, the 0.5% forex buffer, and the 7% platform fee are all already baked into the figure, refreshed every few minutes so it tracks the real rate.
How the rupee price is calculated
Providers publish their prices in US dollars per million tokens. Velona converts that to INR at the live interbank USD→INR rate, adds a small 0.5% buffer so a rate move between refreshes never bills you at a stale number, then adds a flat 7% platform fee that covers infrastructure, payments, and support. That single formula applies identically to every model, so a cheap small model and a frontier flagship are priced the exact same transparent way, so you can compare them on the model pages and trust that the cheaper number really is cheaper for your workload.

Do I need an international credit card to pay for AI APIs on Velona?

How is the INR price for a model calculated?
Provider USD price × live USD/INR rate × 1.005 (forex buffer) × 1.07 (platform fee). The result is exactly what your wallet is charged per token. There are no additional or hidden fees.
Is there a monthly fee or minimum spend?
